JUST ANIMALS

This is the story of the community Midtgård, which in 2041 struggles under a sun that burns harder than the inhabitants can stand. Most have fled, but a few still cling to Midtgård. Help the inhabitants to find new solutions so they do not disappear with the city. Take care of each other, beware of the sun and not least the animals that roam the area.

Just animals is a performance, which embeds “live action game” and multimedia performance, targeted towards young adults. The performance is loosely based on Alfred Hitchcock’s film The Birds and uses the horror genre to question the anxieties of the Gen-Z, and the morality of the behaviours of contemporary Western Society towards Nature.

WHAT THE AUDIENCE THINKS OF THE PERFORMANCE

PRESS

Ole Jacob Hoel, Here the audience must step in to help, Adresseavisen, 03/10/2021

«Just animals» is created in a fascinating mix of bloody seriousness and exploratory playfulness.

«In the form of a gritty suspense story, there are also deep questions this production drills down into. This is good, committed theatre, where Martin Mullholland and Erlend Elvesveen’s music and sound effects are nicely integrated into the action».
