Ms. Scrooge is a modern Christmas show for families and children loosely based on Charles Dickens’ novel «A Christmas Carol».
At the crossroads between site-specific theater and musical performance, we create a performance in which the families and children are invited to celebrate a Christmas show at Lager11, the new street-food and scene house in Trondheim city, owned by Ms. Scrooge. The show is interrupted by a group of guests/ghosts that make Ms. Scrooge revive her past, present and future life through an experience that is part like a dream and part like a nightmare.
We know Scrooge as an old, cynic, banker on the threshold of the last years of his life. In our production, a very rich woman of the food business, Ms. Scrooge plays the leading role, but she looks greedy, cynical, and merciless as his male correspondent. We hope that this change of perspective can show even more that Charles Dickens story is still universal, because it reminds, both to women and men, that everybody needs somebody to love, even the Evil!

Ole Jacob Hoel, Good always wins over evil. At least when it’s theatre, and it’s almost Christmas, Adresseavisen 07/12/2020
«It hasn’t been many years since «A Christmas Story» was last performed as a moving outdoor production at Trøndelag Theatre. At Lager11, director Alessandra Felli shows that you don’t need a big production, historical scenery and costumes. It’s based on a good story, plus a couple of newly written Christmas songs and good vocal music by Gunhild Hjertaas played by Ingrid Øygard Steinkopf on piano and flute. (…) But there is still hope, even a heart of stone can be touched if you find the key inside. Bizarra Productions and their wholehearted amateur ensemble certainly do in this year’s pre-Christmas theatre at Lager11!»
